China is cracking down on the number of home-grown TV talent shows such as versions of 'The Voice' and 'The X Factor' which can be broadcast.

China is cracking down on the number of home-grown TV talent shows such as versions of 'The Voice' and 'The X Factor' which can be broadcast.

The programmes are cheap to produce, draw huge audiences and earn a lot of advertising revenue on satellite channels that are available around the country.
