Hans Riegel, who made German sweet maker Haribo and its signature gummi bears a chewy hit across the globe, has died aged 90.

Hans Riegel, who made German sweet maker Haribo and its signature gummi bears a chewy hit across the globe, has died aged 90.

The company said he died of heart failure in Bonn, site of its head office. He had been recovering from an operation to remove a benign brain tumour.
