50 feared dead after boat carrying migrants sinks in Mediterranean

At least 50 people have drowned after a boat carrying 500 migrants to Italy sank in the Mediterranean.

A further 120 have been rescued after the vessel caught fire and capsized near the island of Lampedusa.
