Syria 'agrees to weapons deal'

Syria has said it accepts Russia’s proposal to place its chemical weapons under international control for subsequent dismantling.

Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said after meeting Russian politicians that his government quickly “agreed to the Russian initiative.”
