Barack Obama has discussed the National Security Agency’s surveillance programmes with the presidents of Mexico and Brazil, the White House said.

The US president met Mexican leader Enrique Pena Nieto and Brazil’s Dilma Rousseff separately on the sidelines of the G20 summit in St Petersburg, Russia, according to deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes.
