British tourist has foot amputated after New York taxi mounts pavement

A 23-year-old British tourist's foot has been amputated after a New York City taxi driver mounted the pavement and hit her.

Sian Green suffered a serious leg injury after she was hit near the Rockerfeller Centre in Manhattan, yesterday morning.
