Israeli army closes resort's airport

The airport in Israel’s Red Sea resort of Eilat has been closed on orders of the military.

Officials instructed the airport to cancel all landings and departures until further notice.

A military spokeswoman says the decision was made as a result of a security assessment, but she did not give details.

Eilat is a major tourist destination.
