The Japanese city of Hiroshima has marked the 68th anniversary of the US atomic bomb attack.

At a ceremony to mark the anniversary, Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said his country would never allow nuclear weapons on its territory.

The American atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945 brought the Second World War to an end in Asia, months after conflict ended in Europe.
