Study finds dolphins can call each other by name

A study has found that dolphins can not only communicate with each other - they can call each other by name.

Scientists from St Andrews University in Scotland found the marine mammals develop their own distinctive whistles early in life and learn the whistles of others.

Scientists made the discovery while studying a group of wild bottlenose dolphins off the Scottish east coast.
