Spanish opposition calls for resignation of PM

Spanish opposition leaders yesterday urged Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy to resign over an alleged secret payments scandal.

A newspaper published what it said were text messages Mr Rajoy sent to his party’s former treasurer, after he was accused of making slush fund pay-offs to politicians including the Prime Minister.
