Two dead in San Francisco plane crash

A plane packed with more than 300 people slammed into the runway at San Francisco airport and caught fire, forcing many to escape down emergency inflatable slides as flames tore through the Boeing 777.
At least two people died in yesterday’s crash, while another 181 people were taken to hospitals, most with minor injuries, authorities said. Five people, including a child, remained in a critical condition at San Francisco General Hospital, the region’s main trauma centre.
