Presidency denies Mandela 'vegetative state' reports

The South African Presidency has tonight denied reports that Nelson Mandela's in a "permanent vegetative state".

Earlier, court papers seen by AFP, said medics treating Mr Mandela had advised the family to consider letting him go rather than “prolonging his suffering”.
