EU ratifies €960bn budget brokered by Irish Govt

MEPs have approved an EU Budget for the next seven years.

Politicians ratified a deal which will see the EU spend a total of €960bn between 2014 and 2020.

The deal had been brokered by the Irish Government under its EU presidency.

The arrangements include an €8bn fund to tackle youth unemployment over the next two years.
