Mandela remains in serious condition

Nelson Mandela remains in a serious but stable condition in a Pretoria hospital with a recurring lung infection.

A foundation led by retired archbishop Desmond Tutu has described the 94-year-old anti-apartheid hero as an “extraordinary gift” to South Africa.
