ICC rejects Libya's plea to cancel Gaddafi war crimes case
Judges at the International Criminal Court have rejected a request from Libyan authorities to cancel the court’s war crimes case against the son of Libya’s former dictator Muammar Gaddafi.
The decision said that the charges Libya is seeking to try Saif al-Islam Gaddafi on are not the same ones the international court wants him for, and the new government in Libya is not able to enforce judicial powers over the whole country.
