Restaurants will not be banned from serving olive oil in unsealed bottles

Restaurants across Europe will not be banned from serving olive oil in unsealed bottles or dipping bowls.

The European Commission announced controversial plans for non-reusable containers last week, and said that it would prevent fraud and protect producers.

The climb-down was announced earlier, following ridicule and accusations of meddling from ministers, including British Prime Minister David Cameron.
