Father charged after four-year-old boy shoots playmate

The father of a four-year-old boy who shot and fatally wounded his six-year-old playmate has been arrested and charged with having weapons accessible to children.

The Asbury Park Press reports that 33-year-old Anthony Senatore was arrested on Monday.

He has been charged with multiple counts of endangering the welfare of children and a charge of enabling access by minors to a loaded firearm.

The authorities say that on April 8 Senatore’s son took a .22 calibre rifle from a bedroom and fired a single shot, fatally injuring neighbour Brandon Holt.
