Mayor of Rome says sorry to tourists charged €64 for four ice creams

A group of British tourists who were charged €64 for four ice creams in Rome have received an apology and have been invited to return to the Italian capital by its mayor.

Married couple Roger and Wendy Bannister, from Stourbridge in the West Midlands, said they received the invitation from mayor Gianni Alemanno.
