Jurors visit April Jones' home town

Jurors in the April Jones murder trial have started their visit to the five-year-old's home town of Machynlleth.

The nine women and three men arrived by coach at the school which April attended at around 11.45am.

After looking at Machynlleth Junior School, the panel, accompanied by judge Mr Justice Griffith-Williams, court officials and the prosecution and defence teams, made the short walk to the Bryn y Gog estate, where April was last seen.

They were taken to the green in the middle of the housing estate and shown the area where the schoolgirl was playing with her friend.

A set of garages where April was seen climbing into a car was also seen by the group.
