Five shot dead in Illinois

Five people have reportedly been shot dead in the US state of Illinois.

The bodies were found inside a house in the small village of Manchester in the early hours of this morning.

Local media have said that a suspect - who had been on the run for a number of hours - was arrested following a high speed chase with police during which gunfire was exchanged.

He has now been hospitalised.
