Musharraf under house arrest

Former Pakistani military ruler Pervez Musharraf has been placed under house arrest after being arrested over a case involving his decision to fire senior judges while in power.

Police officer Mohammed Khalid said the authorities arrested Musharraf at his home on the outskirts of Islamabad.
