Headmaster killed in Pakistan school attack; six children injured
A man armed with a gun and grenades attacked a school during a prize distribution ceremony in southern Pakistan, killing its principal and injuring six children before fleeing.
Police officer Masir Mehmood said the attacker struck as dozens of children gathered outside at their private school in Karachito receive their exam results.
TV showed panicked relatives of the wounded children, who were between the ages of eight and 10, crying outside the school in the port city’s Ittehad Town neighbourhood.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
