Mercy plea rejected as man hanged for Kashmir attack

A Kashmiri man convicted over the 2001 attack on India's Parliament has been hanged after a final mercy plea was rejected.

Mohammed Afzal Guru was executed in New Delhi's Tihar prison early today after more than a decade on death row.
