New York moves to control guns

New York state is poised to be the first in the US to pass tough new gun control measures since last month’s horrifying school shootings.

The clampdown comes as President Barack Obama endorsed bans on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines, as well as stricter background checks for gun buyers.
