A tsunami warning has been issued for British Columbia and the Alaskan coastline after an earthquake measuring 7.7 in magnitude has struck off the coast of Alaska.

A tsunami warning has been issued for British Columbia and the Alaskan coastline after an earthquake measuring 7.7 in magnitude has struck off the coast of Alaska.

The US Geological Survey say it happened just before 9am Irish time about 60 miles southwest of Port Alexander.
