Case against man arrested for staging gay-themed play in Uganda thrown out

A British theatre producer arrested for staging a pro-gay play has had the case against him dismissed by a Ugandan court.

Frank Mugisha, a gay rights activist, said today the move was a sign that the rights of sexual minorities will be respected by Uganda’s courts even though homosexuality is banned there.
