Five killed in China building collapse

Five workers were killed and 18 injured at a construction site in Shanghai for a car park being built to support a new metro line, Chinese authorities said today.

Shanghai’s Work Safety Administration said a concrete structure at the car park in the eastern district of Pudong collapsed at about 9pm local time on New Year’s Eve.
