A concrete road bridge being built in eastern Slovakia has collapsed, killing at least three workers.

A concrete road bridge being built in eastern Slovakia has collapsed, killing at least three workers.

Slovakia rescue service spokesman Martin Ballay said two workers died immediately and one more died after being taken to hospital.

Fifteen other workers were injured.

Mr Ballay said 18 workers in total were on the bridge when the collapse occurred this afternoon near the town of Kurimany.

The cause of the collapse was not immediately known.
