Thirty killed Nigeria village attack

At least 30 people were killed when nomadic Muslim herdsmen attacked a Christian village in central Nigeria over long-running land disputes, police said today.

The attack in Benue state came as a bomb exploded in north-east Nigeria today, apparently killing a police officer and sparking reprisal attacks by the military in the region, residents said.
