Australia’s prime minister Julia Gillard did not define “misogyny” wrong in a blistering attack on a male rival – the dictionary did.

Macquarie Dictionary’s editor, Sue Butler, said a furore over Ms Gillard branding conservative opposition leader Tony Abbott a misogynist in Parliament last week revealed that her dictionary’s definition is decades out of date.
