Riot police called as 4,000 attend teenager's birthday party

Riot police have been deployed in a Dutch village after an estimated 4,000 people turned up to a teenage girl's birthday party.

Officers in Haren were pelted with stones, bottles and even bicycles after a party invitation posted on Facebook was inadvertently sent to 30,000 people after the teenager forgot to mark it as private.
