Bomb blast at Istanbul police station

An explosion at a police station in Turkey has killed one person and injured several others, it is reported.

Ambulances were heading to the scene of the blast in Istanbul.

Turkey’s Dogan News Agency reported that one person was killed and several were injured. Other media outlets reported a similar toll.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Fighting between Turkish forces and Kurdish rebels has surged in recent months.
