Gunman dead after Empire State Building shooting

At least four people were shot outside New York’s Empire State Building this morning and the gunman is dead, city officials have said.

The shootings happened just outside the city’s iconic skyscraper, a massive tourist attraction, at the height of the summer travel season and just after the morning rush hour.
