Dozens injured in train collision
Two passenger trains have crashed at a railway station in north east China, injuring at least 24 people.
The official Xinhua News Agency said the trains collided yesterday evening at the Jiamusi railway station in Heilongjiang province.
Xinhua cites a railway spokesman in the provincial capital as saying most of the people who were injured were preparing to get off a train when the other train collided into it, causing them to fall.
Xinhua reports that most of the injuries were slight and that five people are still under medical observation. An investigation is under way.
Xinhua also reports that elsewhere in Heilongjiang, three lorries plunged into a river after a bridge collapsed early Friday, killing three people.
