Remaining rebels warned to prepare for fight to death
Syria has warned any rebels left in the Salaheddine district of Aleppo, that they must be prepared to fight to the death.
Rebels have retreated from the country's second city, under heavy shelling by the army.
They have said that they are preparing for a counter-attack from a neighbouring district.
Sources said that a large number of civilians were killed in violence today - 40 of the dead were rebels.
Meanwhile, the US has dismissed a peace conference held on the conflict in Iran today.
29 nations - mostly Islamic States and Cuba - met in Tehran, but the US and its allies did not attend, and there was no Syrian representation either.
