Islamists back parliamentary push in Tunisia

Tunisia’s moderate Islamist party announced at the conclusion of its party congress that it will push for a parliamentary system in the country’s future constitution.

Ennahda holds the largest number of seats in the Constitutional Assembly and so is best placed to determine the future governing system in this North African country of 10 million.
