Syrian massacre 'an atrocity' and 'a blatant violation' of plan
The massacre of at least 150 people in a Syrian village is being described by the EU as "an atrocity" and "a blatant violation" of a plan brokered by the UN-Arab League envoy.
Kofi Annan has told the UN Security Council that the Syrian government "flouted" UN resolutions with the mass killings in Treimsa.
The UN leader Ban Ki-moon is describing the killings as an "outrageous escalation" of the conflict.
