Five civilians, including a three-year-old child, were killed when a minivan hit a roadside bomb in Afghanistan, authorities said today.

Shahidullah Shahid, a spokesman for Wardak province south of the capital, Kabul, said the vehicle hit the bomb in Sayd Abad district early today.
