The parents of six children who died in an arson attack at their home are due at Nottingham Crown Court today.

The parents of six children who died in an arson attack at their home are due at Nottingham Crown Court today.

Mick and Mairead Philpott were remanded in custody by Southern Derbyshire magistrates yesterday, accused of murdering the siblings, who ranged in age from five to 13.

Their appearance yesterday was greeted by shouts from the public gallery.

Two people had to be removed from court.
