Syrian forces resume attacks
Syrian forces are resuming their attack on the town in which over 100 civilians were killed last weekend.
Heavy machine-gun fire was followed by concentrated shelling of the town of Houla - where 49 children were among the dead in last Friday's massacre.
Syria's opposition groups are calling for the UN to rush to the scene to prevent further civilian deaths.
News of the fresh assault comes as Russia and Germany said today that any talk of military intervention in Syria was 'premature' and could make the crisis worse.
