No Plan B for Syria, says UN chief
United Nations secretary general Ban Ki-moon says international envoy Kofi Annan's peace plan is the only option for ending the violence in Syria.
Mr Ban said told CNN's Christiane Amanpour that "at this time, we don't have any Plan B".
Former UN secretary general Mr Annan's plan calls for a complete cessation of violence but Mr Ban said "unfortunately, this has not been implemented" and required "strong political will" by Syrian president Bashar Assad and full co-operation by opposition forces.
