All the miners affected by an underground fire in south-western Zimbabwe are safe and have returned home to their families, state radio said today.

The report said the last 65 miners trapped at the Mimosa platinum mine about 248 miles (400km) south-west of Harare were brought to the surface late yesterday, about 24 hours after conveyor equipment collapsed and ignited a fire.
