Children's writer and illustrator Maurice Sendak, author of "Where The Wild Things Are", has died aged 83.

Children's writer and illustrator Maurice Sendak, author of "Where The Wild Things Are", has died aged 83.

His publishers say he died today in Danbury in Connecticut following a recent stroke.
