Subway fares protest halts Madrid trains

Passengers protesting over a rise in Madrid subway fares simultaneously pulled the emergency brakes on 13 trains and delayed thousands of rush-hour travellers.

Metro Madrid said the brakes were pulled when the trains were stopped at stations. No one was hurt.
