Ailing Chavez gives medical update

Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez said that he has had stitches removed as he recovers from cancer surgery and that he has been doing physical therapy.

Mr Chavez said he underwent surgery in Cuba on February 26 to have a tumour removed from the same spot in his pelvic region where another tumour was extracted eight months earlier.
