Two Western advisers killed in Afghan Interior Ministry
Two Western advisers have been killed inside the Afghan Interior Ministry, officials said today.
Nato said initial reports indicated that an individual turned his weapon against the service members.
The Interior Ministry said: “Two of our international colleagues were killed inside the compound of the interior ministry. The ministry is investigating.”
Tolo News, a privately owned Afghan television channel, reported that the victims were Americans.
Details of the shooting were unclear and the nationalities of the two advisers could not be independently confirmed.
The shooting came on the fifth day of protests across the nation sparked by the burning of Korans at a US base.
