Three dead in Afghan Koran protests

At least three people were killed in Afghanistan today when police opened fire to disperse thousands of anti-American demonstrators.

The deaths came during a second day of rioting over what the US has said was the inadvertent burning of Muslim holy books at a Nato military base.
