Cruise firm offers €11k as compensation for ship accident

Passengers on board the cruise ship which crashed off the coast of Italy are being offered €11,000 compensation.

Costa, owned by the world's biggest operator Carnival, will also reimburse the full cost of the cruise, along with travel and medical expenses.

However, passengers and crew are still free to pursue legal action if they aren't satisfied with the deal.
