An eight-year-old girl who police believed was abducted by her mother has been found, Scotland Yard said.

A search was launched after Tianna Azariah Stephens went missing last night. She was last seen at Diva hair salon in Thomas Street, Woolwich, south-east London at 7pm.

Police believed she had been taken from the salon by her natural mother, Chantelle Hanciles, who has links to the US and London.

But the little girl has since been found with her mother in the Peckham area.

Earlier, a Metropolitan Police spokesman said officers were taking “all steps available” to trace the pair.
