The death toll from the attack by a grenade-throwing gunman in the Belgian city of Liege has risen to five.

A 75-year-old woman, who had been critically injured, died overnight. Twenty more people remain in hospital, said an official.

Authorities ruled out terrorism as a motive, but have not yet come up with an explanation for the rampage.
